I received my first, very basic, camera as a gift for my eighth birthday. From there, I began my journey from "point and shoot" photography to my current body of work. Growing up in New York City in a large, Irish-American family gave me ample opportunity to experiment with my camera. As I matured, I realized that interesting subject matter was all around me and I carried my camera with me wherever I travelled.
Moving to New England to marry and raise a family provided me a whole new world of subject matter in landscapes and seascapes, historic homes and places. My exhibits have been warmly received throughout the region, most recently at the Massachusetts State House and the Guttman Library at Harvard University. I recently won an award for my entry in a juried photographic exhibit sponsored by the Falmouth Artists Guild.
Many journeys to Ireland, one of my favorite places to photograph, have allowed me to capture scenes of unspoiled beauty in a land blessed by nature.
